Supervise a training department and provided oversight and guidance to dozens of temporary instructors (SMEs.) Responsible for planning, developing, administering and conducting task-technical training to support AREVA’s Installed Base workforce that provides refueling and maintenance services to operating nuclear power plants across the country and.

BNP, Southport, NC

Provided initial and continuing training to new employees and veteran technicians via the SAT process (Systematic Approach to Training) for BNP’s INPO accredited Environmental and Chemistry department. Performed 10CFR50.59 safety evaluations.

BNP, Southport, NC

Wrote and upgraded sampling, analysis and programmatic procedures for the E&RC department. This included 10-CFR-50.59 safety evaluations, technical reviews and procedure validations.

E&C Technician, assigned to BNP’s Radiological Countroom. Responsibilities included implementation of all facets of gaseous and liquid effluent regulatory releases, operation and calibration of BNP’s Effluent Radiation Monitoring System, and various other system and equipment responsibilities in the countroom’s duty areas

Watts Bar

Program Administrator to manage program development of Watts Bar’s Process Radiation Monitoring System (PRMS) during initial reactor start-up (5/96.) Multifaceted duties included development of operation and sampling procedures for routine and accident scenarios on both original plant equipment and new system upgrades.

Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant

Responsibilities included researching equipment design problems and upgrades for chemistry systems, including demineralization systems (make-up water and radioactive waste processing) and potable water treatment. Performed engineering analyses and tests for chemistry design changes. Performed safety evaluations with 10-CFR-50.59 qualifications.

Fermi 2

Performed various chemical and radiochemical analyses, during all phases of plant operation. Areas of responsibilities included nuclear and non-nuclear applications. Performed lube oil and fuel oil analyses. Analytical instrument experience included use of ICP/IR.

USS Mississippi

First Class Petty Officer, MM1/ELT stationed on the USS Mississippi (CGN40) Supervised 14 technicians and was responsible for plant chemistry (reactor plant and steam generator), radiological controls and radio-effluent releases of a twin reactor plant guided missile cruiser.
