Provide leadership and strategic direction to the company’s IT department. Develop and implement an infrastructure strategy and roadmap. Create an efficient organizational structure through strategic planning, functional transformation, and budget and resource management. Understand IT trends that create business value and reduce overall costs within a dynamic pharmaceutical environment. Plan, organize, and manage operations to ensure the stability, availability and integrity of IT infrastructure. Manage a team delivering support services for IT operations consisting of network, server, storage, telecommunications, and 24x7 monitoring of mission critical applications and systems.

Oversee and lead activities of both the Systems Administration and Operations teams. Maintain mission critical compute and storage environments consisting of Windows, Linux and AIX platforms in two data centers and the Cloud with over 400 physical and virtual servers, storage capacity in excess of one petabyte, and numerous Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Negotiate and maintain contracts for hardware and software purchasing, cloud services and maintenance. Provide strategic guidance for the selection, integration, design and implementation of systems and services. Manage staff performance, development and training to ensure team competencies and capabilities.

Lead technical responsibility for enterprise messaging system consisting of on-premises Microsoft Exchange and off-premises Office 365 systems with over 130,000 mailboxes.
