Atmospheric research using remote sensing and in situ observations to obtain a complete physical understanding of PM2.5 concentration variability at the neighborhood scale. To facilitate this research, a light-weight sensor package was developed and installed into a large remote-control model airplane, also built in-house, and an off-the-shelf autopilot.
