I worked with one of the Founders of the team to create a graphic for their open tryouts. We met via Zoom once a week to discuss and edit the design and content of the graphic. It was posted on multiple social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit.

I was in charge of two social media channels (facebook and Instagram) for both the Hotel Ballard and Ballard Inn. I posted weekly for both properties, but maintained a constant online presence through story posts and re-posts. All content was produced by me. I was also given the opportunity to create promotions for the Hotel and Inn. Many of these promotions were created during the pandemic to increase hotel room sales. Several promotions I helped create are still running today.

My main duties working at the front desk consisted of answering phone calls and emails, creating reservations, and checking guests in. Guest relations were a top priority as well. The front desk was expected to know each guest by last name and why they were staying with us. We also acted as a concierge, so having an extensive knowledge of the surround area was a must. I received several comment cards from guests about my outstanding service, and how helpful I was managing guests reservations and activities. I was also given the opportunities to train several new hires during my time at Hotel Ballard and Ballard Inn. I trained them in how to use or reservation system, daily tasks, and how to properly interact with guests. All new hires felt comfortable coming to me with their issues or to ask questions.

I met with the commission liaison regularly to discuss the topics the need to cover in their presentation, and how they would like their information laid out. Using the Adobe Suite, I create several graphic options for the liaison and their team to choose from. I refined the graphics they chose and ensured the design would be consistent across all digital formats.

As an intern, I assisted with all aspects of producing promotional content for different college departments. I sat in on meetings, helped write and edit scripts, as well as help set up the camera during shooting days. I learned a lot about the video production side of marketing campaigns.

I made reservations, answered phone calls and emails, as well as checked guests in and out. The hotel was connected to a casino, so we had to keep up to date on all casino promotions and VIP guest lists.

I worked with a local company during college to gain more insight on how to market through social media. My main focus was assisting the CEO and marketing team produce ad campaigns. I took photos, edited them, as well as posted all content on several social media platforms.
