Bill’s background in international business and financial services, combined with decades of personal investing experience, offers his clients the knowledge required to navigate the challenges of a complex and ever-changing economy. He enjoys working with clients of all ages and walks of life, from young couples starting a family to empty nesters planning for a long and prosperous retirement. Bill’s goal is to give his clients the confidence to pursue their dreams and passions well into retirement without impacting their financial security. He encourages his clients to be active participants in the planning process, first to understand where they are financially, then to envision where they want to go, and finally to work with him to plan for each milestone along the way. Bill also helps business owners strengthen their employee benefit programs, reward key employees, and develop owner succession plans.After growing up in Oregon, Bill graduated with a double major in International Studies and Norwegian from the University of Washington in Seattle. He taught English in Japan for two years before returning to earn his MBA at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix. Before joining the financial services industry, he worked for over two decades in Japan in marketing, supply chain management, and consulting. He and his family later returned to Oregon, where he launched his financial services career in 2016. Bill has a life & health insurance license, and has passed the FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 securities registration exams. He earned his Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP™) credential from the American College of Financial Services.Bill is an enthusiastic member of various groups in his community, reflecting his international, civic, and cultural interests. Those include World Oregon, Nordic Northwest, Japan-America Society of Oregon, Portland Metro Chamber, and Raleigh Hills Business Association. In the warmer months, he can be found racing his one-design Lightning dinghy, at Vancouver Lake Sailing Club. He races out of Portland Yacht Club year-round, through the sun, rain, or snow. Other hobbies include fishing, hiking, travel and reading. Bill met his wife in Japan and they live with their daughter in Portland. Bill speaks fluent Japanese and Norwegian.3797359-082024
