Experienced Digital Project Management Professional. PRINCE2 accredited Project Manager (Practitioner) for eight years. 15 years experience in PR/public affairs coupled with nine years in content, digital and project management. In my current role I am Head of Content and Digital, supporting Scotland’s Rural College on its journey to acquire degree awarding powers and become a University College.In 2021 my team delivered a root and branch website project to move SRUC to Umbraco Cloud from a legacy CMS and physical server system. The first phase (transferring a minimum viable product to offer full integration with back office software for student applications) was a massive success for SRUC, resulting in increased student recruitment numbers for 2020/21 even in the face of COVID-19. The second phase delivered more functionality for the organisation while reducing drastically the number of pages and simplifying navigation. This included a bespoke search system, data integrations, automation, live chat, a new contact management process, a "News and Views" section (built on the Articulate system) and lots more.In 2022 I delivered a digital asset management system to rationalise and widen access to SRUC's image databases. We delivered a mobile-accessible system that integrated with SSO and opened up curated and controlled access for external parties. Recent work includes building a vocational training course catalogue which will go live in 2024. We've recently designed and built the first ever online shop for SRUC's veterinary services offering. I've also managed and delivered a project to put all our events online so users can book a place through our website.I've acquired extensive digital project management experience, along with a keen eye for what makes a story and how it can make an impact on web/social media.In 2024 my team will deliver a micro credentials (short courses) catalogue and a new International section of our website to attract students from all over the world.I previously worked for Scottish Water for 12 years, where I worked in a senior PR role and for seven years and then changed career paths to become their Website and Social Media Manager. My team completed one of the biggest public sector website projects ever undertaken in Scotland, delivering:• A move from physical datacentres to the cloud • An elegant design which works seamlessly across all device classes• A new CMS platform and training for 35 staff• A complete re-write of every single page • Root and branch refresh of video, photography and document libraries
