Managed 2 direct reports in the development of in vitro human T cell potency assay and Lewis rat model of EAMG for proof-of-concept testing. * Introduced state-of-the-art flow cytometric and qPCR T cell assays to cancer vaccine project teams and clinical monitoring group. Developed a robust flow cytometric assay for T cell responses to the WT-1 cancer antigen. Key data supported development of joint venture for development of a WT-1 cancer vaccine.* Served as internal scientific expert on legal/business development team managing patent portfolio and partnering efforts associated with Corixa IP related to treatment of autoimmune diseases.* Developed a potency assay for a late stage cancer vaccine product where previous efforts over 2 years had failed. Determined optimal mouse strain and qualified ELISA assay for transferred to validation group on timeline.

* Engineered murine and human, peptide/MHC tetramer reagents for staining antigen specific, autoimmune and tumor specific T cells. Managed all molecular biology and insect cell line/baculovirus construction and protein expression, purification, multimerization and analytical characterization assays with direct reports. First to demonstrate the presence of WT-1 specific CD8+ T cells in the blood of multiple myeloma patients. Reagents and methods found application in 3 cancer and 3 infectious disease programs.
