CurrentWilliam Barber represents clients in Surrogate’s Courts throughout the metropolitan area, and has been involved in probate contests, contested accountings, discovery proceedings, and removal proceedings. His experience includes conducting pretrial discovery, legal research, drafting motion papers, and participating in settlement negotiations. His experience also includes estate planning and trust and estate administration. He advises clients on wealth preservation and estate and gift tax planning and helps them achieve their estate planning objectives through the preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trust instruments and advance directives. Additionally, William also represents and assists clients with Elder Law matters. He advises and assists clients with planning for long-term care, determining eligibility for government benefits and navigating the Medicaid application submission process.
