Reported to Vice President of Production and Quality.• Recommended metals for parts of Advanced Weapons Elevator developed from criteria generated by Engineering requiring particular mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and dimensions.• Ensured timely calibrations were conducted by maintaining calibration systems for internal and external calibration and also calibrating measurement equipment.

Wrote / updated operation sheets; incorporated customer drawing changes; dispositioned rejected brazed seals and shrouds; corrected blanking, forming, and assembly problems; updated routings and bill of materials. Reported to Business Unit Manager.• Reduced machining cost by modifying blank dies and chamfer die.• Responded to customer need for process improvement by completing sweep gage modification.• Supported fabrication of shroud, seal and lever arm assemblies, primarily used in GE aircraft engines.

Reduced number of problem parts in forming process and communicating to suppliers• Acted as process engineer for heat-treating automotive bumpers and baseball bats. Ensured adherence to customer standards so that maximum strength of product was realized.• Selected to be member of Material Review Board (MRB) which dispositioned defective materials / parts to keep from mixing into inventory and to receive credit from supplier. • Participated on inventory reduction team that included company president, and recommended appropriate disposition of obsolete and slow-moving material to minimize waste.• Served as member of Valeo Team that identified $20K annual savings by recommending purchase of sheared blanks rather than shear them in-house.
