I have worked as a electrician for 27 years specializing in custom addition and remodel construction. I have relied upon word of mouth reputation which keeps me very busy. I moved into sales with the help of a friend when I finished my apprenticeship due to the slow work opportunities at the time. I started out with a small company and then moved to Ecolab since they were the best in the industry. I learned true sales techniques through Ecolab's training program and with self training from various sales training books. Ecolab started moving heavily into service with much of the responsibility on the back of the territory manager. I moved over into their start up water treatment division and worked there for one and a half years. Due to a large geographic territory covering half the state of Florida from Tampa north to Cordielle, GA and also the Caribbean from Disney Island to Curacao, and no support from the District Manager, I left Ecolab. I started with Southeastern Freight Lines from a referral by a friend. I continue to do electrical work by day and analyst work in the evening.
