As SRE for our Data Services suite, I ensure the reliability of our 5 major platforms feeding data to all our internal and external customers. In doing so I assessed each product's people, processes, and technology, enabling myself and others to understand the products' business value, technical weaknesses, and resources to contact during outages. I oversaw the migration of each product to New Relic observability and automated remediation to reduce the frequency of outages, I lead the outage calls to ensure downtime is minimized, and I perform follow-up on all outages to prevent them from occurring again.As the company's logging pipeline administrator, I designed and implemented our logging architecture which utilizes Splunk Forwarders, GTM load balancing, and Cribl Stream for continuous data transformation. Upon implementation of the pipeline architecture, I migrated over our 45 major logging indexes from Splunk, ensured the pipeline's health along the way, and have operationalized the pipeline's maintenance with training and documentation for our support teams.I also serve as the SRE team's scrum master, and host a weekly series called "SRE University" which provides a platform for employees to present on products, skills, and tools they feel can support SRE initiatives.

As a system administrator for AppDynamics and application performance monitoring (APM), I focus on the automation of monitoring for application teams to prevent service outages, reduce costly incident response time, and improve the efficiency of team processes. Once configured, teams have actionable automated alerting, quick access to the best KPIs, and are educated on the tool. I've improved the monitoring user experience by automating the deployment of agents and extensions, built the proof-of-concept monitoring system for Google Cloud Operations (tracing, logging, querying), and scripted the securing of local accounts upon employee exits, across multiple monitoring tools.
