Working 10 hours a week I averaged $2,000 in sales / week, over two Christmas seasons with Brookstone. After the 2011 season, management offered and I accepted a permanent part / time position with the company. Averaging $500 in sales working ten hours a week.

Secured $3,500 from a proposal I wrote to First Unitarian Church of Dallas for SOS Children's Villages' education program in Togo. Designed and executed a bulletin board display about SOS Childrens Villages in the church's main meeting hall. Secured public speaking opportunities the church's Social Action and Women's Committees.

Raised $18,000 through grants, and individual giving appeals and assisted on prepartion of another five grant applications. Conducted grant reserach on approximately 30 corporate and foundation funding opportunties finding five which fit the mission of DBDT Organized donor appreciation recption for the Wyly 100, DBDT's giving society. Tracked incoming gifts, produced acknowledgement letters and prepared final reports for corporate funders.

Identified 25 new grant and partnership opportunitiesCo-developed program measures and data collection methodology and conducted scholarly research for studies on teh prevalence of obsesity and poverty within the Latino community.

Served as a sunday school teacher during the Summer of 2011; Organized and lead a pilot program of Junior Navigators, USA a co-educational alternative scouting organization for children 7-10 years old.

Led the administrative and organization task force charged with improving the operational and administrative processes and procedures for The Rebuild Center. Supervised the research conducted by team members by assigning tasks and research method(s) for each to use. Co-authored the strategic plan and using data collected by the team recommending that The Rebuild Center overhaul its organizational hierarchy by hiring an executive director, development director and incorporating as a separate organization with its own 501 (3) status. Organized the second and third annual Chicago-area fundraising events for The Rebuild Center that raised over $6,700. Oversaw all aspects of the fundraisers including selecting the venue, food and drinks, publicity, raffles and silent auctions, and soliciting and overseeing volunteers.

Composed and mailed acknowledgement letters, answered phones, managed the Director of Alumni Relations' calander, schedule meetings and appointments for my team, assisted in preparing for meetings, conducted research on our constituents, supported the Alumni Relations team.
