This project included the complete life cycle from business case creation, through detailed business analysis, managing a market scan, releasing an RFQ, vendor selection, procurement, and contract negotiation.Project #2: An Identity & Access Management (IdAM) Project to architect and pilot an Identity, Access, and Governance model for DIT with the scalability to deliver a whole of SA Government capability. During the 9 months, the project evolved into a complex collaboration between the DIT and the Department of Premier & Cabinet (DPC), where the solution design expanded to include the six core capabilities: Staff Identity Provisioning - (On/Off board, Role, Location & ID changes), Staff Identity Repository (Centralised repository of Staff ID’s), Security Incident & Event Management - (SIEM), Staff Identity/Account Protection (AI to Detect/Prevent Staff Identity theft), Privileged Account Management - (PAM - Control Who can administer systems), Staff Permission Policy Management - (Access/Permission Policy Management).This project included a market scan, an RFQ, supplier selection, procurement, contract negotiations, across Department Enterprise Architecture team collaboration, supplier engagement with Insync Solutions and application providers such as Microsoft, Okta, MicroFocus, Crowdstrike, Thycotic, Splunk and Dark Trace.

Engaged as a Senior IM&T Project Manager for BAE to facilitate the delivery of the largest Defence Project in Australian history (Au$45 Billion) to establish a continuous Naval Shipbuilding Capability for the Commonwealth of Australia. The first stage of this +30 Year project was to Build the Infrastructure, Install and Integrate all the Applications, Redact and Migrate the relevant data and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to establish business process capabilities in Australia like those used by UK Naval Ships. The complexity of this project required the establishment of new Data Centres in the UK and Australia, and the installation and integration of hundreds of software applications.I managed a multi-disciplinary team of Design, Platform and Combat Systems Engineers based in Scotland, the UK and Australia along with a complex technical team consisting of Business Analysts, Application specialists, Database administrators, Cyber Security, Procurement, Legal & Export Controls, Infrastructure, and application development personnel from multiple Countries and Vendors. I also managed the design, build, and commissioning of the first Christie 3D LED Wall Visualisation Suite in Australia at the Osborne Shipyard, South Australia. Due to the impact of COVID-19, all of this was achieved using predominantly Skype and WebEx meetings supported by thousands of telephone calls with hundreds of participants in multiple countries.

As the Senior ICT Project Manager working for Celsus, I was responsible for managing three RAH ICT Projects across various partners including Spotless, DXC, and SA Health to fully deliver an integrated Asset Management System, Patient Tagging & Tracking, and an Extension Mobility Roll-out using Cisco 8821 VOIP Handsets across the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Responsible for managing several Vendors and a wide range of trades, procurement, building, electrical, data cabling and IT teams to deliver the high-tech CDI solution. Compressed schedules and tight budget constraints all added to the complexity of this challenging project that is the largest Hospital build ever undertaken in Australia and a Technical first in the world for its CDI implementation. The project was delivered on schedule and the Hospital opened on 5th September 2017.

During this project I lived predominantly in Singapore and travelled to Melbourne and Adelaide every two weeks.The NHELP application was a complex Integrated Nursing Home management system comprising Resident Management, AGHRM for HR and Rostering, Procurement, Clinical & Medication Management, Complex financials including AP, AR, GL, Inventory Management, Asset Management, Funds Management, Complex Multi-site Budgeting and a Training Module. In addition, the NHELP system delivered custom SAP Finance interfaces and delivered complex automated reporting to the core SAP business systems of the Ministry of Health in Singapore.The Project teams delivered 7 migrations and 9 Go Lives for Singapore Nursing Homes.

Dedication, hard work and long hours soon proved effective and saw me take the company to a staff of seven and an annual turnover of in excess of US$7 Million in less than three years. Airborne was a Seattle, USA based freight and logistics airline specialising in International airfreight forwarding services to and from the USA.
