Kunduz Afghanistan

As a platoon leader with Company D, 2nd Battalion, 121st Infantry Regiment, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team led 162 combat patrols without combat lossServed as mentor to Afghan National Police. Mentored more than 50 senior officers at Kunduz ANP Provincial Headquarters. Improved staff and logistics functions that impacted over 1,800 ANP and police operations in a province the size of Connecticut. Developed organizational structure, improved command and coordination, facilitated greater unity of effort, and established standard operating procedures for PHQ interaction with district level commands. Interviewed all department heads to establish benchmark for work process analysis with the intent of increasing operational efficiency. Reported findings to provincial commander and presented recommendations for improving process flow of resources from Kabul to provincial logistics centers.
