The EH&S Manager is responsible for implementing an effective safety program and ensuring all applicable safety standards are met. The EH&S Manager works with the Site Manager, Operations Manager, Quality Control & Safety Managers to establish site safety program requirements, monitor and report program effectiveness. Reports safety incidents for company personnel and subcontractors. Responsible for the overall EH&S compliance for all US sites and is responsible for coordinating and managing all procedures and programs to minimize environmental, health and safety (EHS) risks and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements by performing the following duties.★ Manage safety and environmental personnel and project activities including, scheduling, tracking and planning for environmental, safety and health assessments, site investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans.★ Interprets data and observations to ensure compliance with Skookum requirements, regulatory requirements, industry guidelines and advises management accordingly.★ Participates in workers compensation claims process with Management, HR and carriers; including accident investigations, monitoring of claims, and proper reporting and follow-up.★ Manages the Green Table process with Management, HR and operations including investigations, monitoring, and presentations.★ Negotiates settlements of all citations and responses to OSHA and assists in managing environmental compliance issues.★ Develop and implement sampling and monitoring plans which may include installing, operating and maintaining equipment which monitor air, land, and/or water pollution levels.★ Work with Maintenance, Engineering and any other related departments on equipment guarding, design, installation and compliance.★ Evaluates current and proposed codes, standards, regulations and guidelines to determine the impact on current and future programs and activities.

★Implement approved programs and services of District-wide maintenance and operations programs or services; plan, organize and supervise the work of staff involved in the Facilities Maintenance sections including landscaping, electrical, glazing, machines, plumbing, painting, carpentry, locksmithing, heating and air conditioning and related trades. ★Train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; schedule, monitor and supervise the work of assigned staff; select, assign and prioritize training of assigned staff; process formal and informal grievances; communicate with employees on matters related to performance and employee status; develop work procedures and practices of the unit; develop and modify work assignments of employees in accordance with the needs of the Facilities Maintenance section. ★Perform site inspections and visits; identify maintenance service needs and assign to appropriate division; oversee contractor work to assure compliance with approved plans; attend pre-bid conferences for deferred maintenance projects as assigned. ★Maintain specialized records of capital improvements, site inspections, work orders, material costs, labor costs and employee work hours and generate a variety of repetitive and special reports and correspondence. ★Assure compliance with required safety practices for staff of the Facilities Maintenance section; recommend safety training and equipment purchases to Site Manager as appropriate. ★Develop recommendations for new and modified programs, policies, regulations and procedures for approval. ★Evaluate vendor bids for goods and services; prepare requisitions; administer assigned contracts and monitoring services provided to the District under contractual agreement. ★Advise subordinate supervisors regarding supervisory practices and serve as reviewer of evaluations. ★Prepare budget requests and administer approved budget; monitor and approve budget expenditures in the absence of the Director.
