In NEC, a leading semiconductor manufacturing company, I was in charge of the front end processes for assembling integrated circuits (DRAM and Microcomputer). My major achievemnts were: + Presented improved methods of assembly to Japanese counterparts at a Quality Conference in Tokyo, Headquarters, and at subsidiaries in Hiroshima and Kyushu, Japan.+ Reduced defect inclusion rate of bonding defects from 10% to 0.1%, thus saving an average of $ 60,000 per month.+ Successfully set up VRAM, 1M SOJ DRAM, 4M SOJ DRAM and 80 pin QFP microcomputer production lines.+ Improved methods of handling wire-bonded products to reduce wire damages.+ Implemented a computerised method to input wire bonding data.+ Automated Wire Pull test in gold wire ball bonding.+ Responsible for implementing the HP spectrum analyzer to monitor the frequency of the bonder in operation.+ Attained Four NEC Silver Awards and two Bronze Awards for innovation.
