With over twenty years of teaching and coaching experience, I have been afforded the opportunity to have gained a breadth of knowledge and skills in the field of education. My most recent (and current) role in teaching has been dedicated to the Social Studies content areas of Government, Economics, AP Government and Politics, AP Microeconomics, Dual Credit Economics (in conjunction with Monroe Community College), as well as U.S. History. Focusing in these areas has given me the ability to not only further develop and refine my pedagogical skills, but also to gain valuable insight into the many factors which contribute to the proper social, emotional and academic growth of each student. As a reflective and adaptive educator, I have successfully developed a positive rapport with my students, parents, and colleagues. I pay close attention to detail and my diversified background encompassing both teaching (regular and special education) and corporate experience illustrates that I possess the leadership, communication, and organizational skills necessary to succeed in ever-changing, fast paced working environments. As someone who is always striving to take on new challenges, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss any position that would further my commitment and passion to help others.
