Have you ever seen something that could use improvement? My name is Will Robinson, and I am pursuing Operations Management at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at USU. While learning to apply skills such as ArcGIS, marketing, data analysis, and communications I have been able to apply them to my family's business. That family business is The Ensign Group, L.C., which is the perfect combination of office and fieldwork. Having grown up with the business, I have gained skills and experience that are hard to come by. From operating heavy machinery and farm equipment to earning the title “Aid-de-Camp” to the CEO, I have learned to value resilience. Where every day presents new challenges, being resilient is key to pushing forward. Be it when equipment is malfunctioning or there are missing transactions in the office, it is crucial to push through and find the right solutions. This will require honest communication with everyone involved. This will require humility to listen to another’s idea that may lead to triumphant solution. This also requires determination to get the job done. Resilience, humility, honest communication, and determination are values that I believe help propel individuals and businesses to new heights!When I am not working, you can expect to find me fishing, hunting, weightlifting, or playing basketball. Work is awesome and I love to accomplish my tasks, but a break is welcome at the end of a long day. These hobbies help me to connect with others and give great bonding moments to continue to build relationships with coworkers, friends and family. In the end, the connections and relationships we build are the most important.
