Serve as the primary advisor to individual graduate students in the Master of Arts Program in Environmental Studies. Primarily responsible for advising students on individualized course ofstudy and overall graduate program expectations. Also act as graduate student mentor for students interested in Environmental / Sustainability Education, Ecosystem-Based Management, Southern Appalachian Montane wetlands, Coastal Ecosystems, Ecology, Environmental Law & Policy

Led programmatic operations and fiscal aspects of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund and the Conservation Easement Endowment Fund (approximately $20 million annually); led the development of programmatic and project procedures; management of personnel; and served as administrative and policy lead. The position worked to resolve complex project issues with grantees. Position ended as result of NC legislative actions in 2015.
