William Day is the Senior Technical Project Lead at BISim based out of the Farnborough UK office and is instrumental in the cooperation between the international BISim offices technical and business/commercial teams, and our worldwide military/government/industry customers.William works alongside Business Development/Sales, Project Management, Product Management, Development Leads and their teams to facilitate the early definition of projects, products and requirements originating from military, government or industry customers. William has a strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge of BISim’s product portfolio, but also wider simulation technology and Defence orientated simulation and training needs, processes and standards.William’s key competencies and responsibilities in BISim are:• Early customer engagement for project scoping and definition.• Requirement management, scoping and translation from customer system or user requirements to internal requirements.• Technical solutioneering from customer objective to internal solution.• Supporting Business Development as a technical resource and demonstrations of the BISim portfolio.• External and internal stakeholder engagement and relationship management.• Trade show, exhibition and industry forum attendance.• Liaison with international Development Directors and Product Management to coordinate technology development, project planning and resourcing.• Technical proposal writing and tender response.Prior to joining BISim, William was a 3D Simulation Development Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space (Previously EADS DS and Cassidian) for over 6 years. During his progression in Airbus DS, William was involved with numerous international development projects for the simulation and training business lines with terrain and content development activities. This involved the adoption and exploitation of many COTS simulation tool-sets and customer engagement.
