I initiate a wide range of external research development and outreach activities with state and federal funding agencies, and industry partners and associations, to expand the research enterprise and portfolio of the College of Engineering & Applied Science, across six Academic Departments and twelve Research Centers. I work collaboratively with faculty and researchers as member of the College's research staff team supporting the Associate Dean for Research in a $80 Million annual research enterprise. I identify research funding opportunities, match opportunities with relevant faculty, assist new faculty in their research development, and conduct workshops/training for faculty. I coordinate industry visits to the College in collaboration with other staff elements at the College and University levels to expand CU-Boulder's impact in strategic areas of engineering research to include aerospace, advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity, biomaterials, renewable energy and photonics/electronics.

Senior leader of a national non-profit, headquartered in Denver, CO, providing employment, training and assistance to veterans interested in the green jobs sector/economy, including renewable energy, residential energy efficiency and outdoor conservation. Managed a budget of $4-10 million, with employee base of 50-125 employees, including operations of a 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility, 25 vehicle fleet and residential energy efficiency contracts.

Senior research advisor to the Dean of the Warner College of Natural Resources. Identified and coordinated selected research opportunities for faculty and research Centers, provided University-level staff expertise on interdisciplinary research, and served on University wide research committees related to export control, research compliance and research execution.

Senior leader and Principal Investigator for a large, interdisciplinary, externally funded research center providing land management services to Department of Defense installations, including environmental planning, range operations, natural resources mapping/inventory and threatened & endangered species management. Oversaw more than $10 million in research grants/contracts and directly supervised staff of 50-100 employees. Developed on-line graduate level courses in Sustainable Military Lands Management, in support of educational and professional development goals. Published and presented technical papers on military lands management.

Initiated an interdisciplinary Research Institute focusing on environmental projects, courses and outreach. Developed strategic plan for the Institute in concert with Board of Directors. Directed cross-campus sustainability efforts.

As a senior Academy professor, directed twelve military/civilian faculty in the teaching and administration of all undergraduate geography (physical, human/cultural, environmental) courses as one of three senior program directors in the Department. Served on a variety of Academy wide committees and forums focusing on cadet education and military development. Developed research experiences for cadets. Served as officer representative for the Army Women's basketball team.
