I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in History.
I went on to teach high school algebra for two years at Lee Freshman School in Midland, Texas.
I graduated from the Texas Tech University School of Law in May of 2009. I passed the bar exam on my first attempt and became a licensed attorney later in 2009.
Discovering a love and passion for Family Law, I decided to sit for Board Certification Exam in October of 2014 and in January of 2015 I became one of the few Board Certified Family Attorneys in this area. I am among only 1% of Texas attorneys who are Board Certified in the family law arena.
I began my legal career at Legal Aide of NorthWest Texas. I worked for two years on mostly family cases. These cases involved custody, child support, divorces, property disputes and many other family law matters.
From there I was hired as a special litigation attorney for the Department of Family and Protective Services. There I conducted several jury trials and worked on complex cases.
In October 2012 I was hired as an associate attorney for the Law Office of Roy L. Scott. I continue to work on complex cases involving custody and property disputes in divorces involving high-dollar assets. I have skills in the area of discovery and trial advocacy. I have counseled clients through many sucessful mediations. I enjoy practicing family law and work diligently with my clients to achieve the optimum result in every case.
