Additionally, wrote ADHOC reports using Crystal Reports 7 and 9, as well as writing a report wrapper in VB.Net to handle automation of the multiple reports that needed to be scheduled.• Developed third party interfaces to share data with Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Value Options.• Automated the encryption of third party data to help facilitate compliance with the new HIPAA requirements. All projects on were full life cycle.

The primary thrust of the first application was to facilitate an online B2B catalog ordering system for the electrical industry. • The project spanned three different systems, receiving data from the mainframe system, and integrating that data with existing data in the Target system. Target data resided in SQL Server 7.0 and ran in Windows 2000 on an NT network. Target was written almost completely in Visual Basic 6.0 using several OCX and DLL files, which was also developed in-house.• From Target, the data was transferred to the Volts database that was in SQL Server 2000. The Volts system was written in Java running on a UNIX platform. The transfer to Volts was done overnight through DTS scheduled tasks. • Additional projects included stand-alone security using Blowfish encryption, for the Volts system utilizing Visual InterDev, JavaScript, VBScript and ASP. • A catalog modeling system to produce “printed catalogs” from the online data tailored to the individual clients needs utilizing ASP, Visual InterDev, JavaScript, VBScript and Visual Basic.

This product eventually had to be packaged for sale to the individual law schools. • Packaging included the development of complete installation packages using Wise Installer.
