CurrentBill represents financial institutions and businesses in insolvency and debtor-creditor issues, including bankruptcy, out-of-court workouts, and litigation. His representation of financial institutions and other types of creditors and of businesses facing insolvency issues is marked by his litigation skills and by his application of creative problem solving skills to achieve an effective outcome for his clients. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and has also represented clients in the Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of New York and the Western District of North Carolina.Bill has been a member of the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Western District of Virginia since 1999. In this role, he has liquidated millions of dollars of real estate, equipment, and other assets. His proven ability to evaluate assets and develop creative strategies for the evaluation and liquidation of assets is a significant resource in his practice.Bill Callahan has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2010 and has been recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyer since 2012. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Washington and Lee University School of Law and is a regular lecturer at continuing legal education seminars.
