I work to enhance the University's reputation and objectives through the creation of crisp, persuasive communications that reflect the University's brand, core values and the president's distinctive voice. As a member of the Office of Communications and Marketing, I am responsible for developing, coordinating and executing multi-channel communications for the president and other senior leaders by drafting talking points, social media posts, high-value correspondence and campus communications. I aim to ensure that the president's goals and objectives for the University's mission, values and strategic direction are articulated in all communications and media.

Authored a variety of pieces in the president's voice, including regular messages to students, faculty and staff, correspondence and annual reports to SUNY System Administration. Also worked with partners across campus in responding to FOIL requests. Served as a member of the Strategic Communications Team, which brainstormed and coordinated the campus response to crisis and other major communications issues.

Wrote stories for campus and alumni newsletters and the alumni magazine. Managed campus social media channels and served as university photographer.

Covered a variety of high school sports, including boys soccer, boys and girls swimming and diving, baseball and boys' lacrosse. Also served as beat writer for Hudson Valley Renegades baseball team (short-season, New York Penn League) and assisted on coverage of Army football and professional teams in New York metro area (Yankees, Mets, Giants Jets), writing both sidebars and columns.

Covered all high school sports, writing game stories, advance stories and features. Wrote stories for immediate placement on the website. Also blogged daily at www.troyrecordsports.blogspot.com and shot and edited videos for placement on the blog and the paper's main website. Main writer and researcher for 48-page high school football preview sections in 2009 and 2010.
