• R&D Operations Support managing flow and documentation control of R&D material through wafer production fab
• Increased daily velocities of R&D wafers over a 3 month period. This was achieved through development of Excel based R&D team metrics reports for web based rollout. Facilitating “Time to Market” meetings three times.
• Organized and facilitated the hiring process of eight new RD expediters for the department by developing a panel interview system and six sigma decision tools to ensure non biased team objectives were met.

• Decreased the average monthly cost per op move of photo developer by 70%.
• Developed an automated Photo Resist scaling system to weigh and store dispense volumes enabling control limits, trend tracking and automated out of control notification. This systems data collection capability enabled.
• Developed a method to statistically calculate optimal qualification intervals. This improved uptime of Veeco Ion mills by 8% and gave production engineers an improved method of setting qualification intervals.
• Reduced spending 79% to polish wafer substrates being used for qualification and monitors also reduced required machine time 60 hours monthly

• Supervised 20-25 production personnel in all phases of wafer fabrication in a cleanroom environment. Responsible for quality, schedules, machine utilization and 3 Business excellence projects annually.
• Increased vacuum target utilization (more material consumed) on a toolset by 5% by implementing a web based target hours report. This assisted production and maintenance in making better decisions when changing out.
• Led a group of production personnel to eliminate an ergonomic problem causing neck pain and headaches. Replaced CRT monitors with flat panels on balance arms for user adjustable viewing heights.
