Job duties include identification and reduction of risk on heavy infrastructure projects during the procurement and delivery phase, negotiation of government and private contracts, and management of claims and outside counsel during arbitration, litigation, DRB proceedings, and other dispute resolution proceedings.

I serve as an Adjunct Professor in the University of Tennessee Construction Science Program, where I teach construction law. I served as a guest lecturer in this program from 2016 until 2018.

These areas of practice included representing owners, contractors, and subcontractors in the negotiation of contracts and the resolution of disputes involving the breach of government and private contracts, lien claims, and licensing. I also have experience handling claims involving personal injury, workers compensation defense, violations of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act, and representation of owners and management companies in the multifamily housing industry in fair housing disputes.I served as the Chair of the Executive Council of the Tennessee Bar Association Litigation Section. Responsibilities included assisting in the prosecution of criminal and civil offenses. Sat first chair for four prosecutions, including prosecutions for assault on a government employee and illegal possession of a weapon. Defendants were convicted as charged for each prosecution.
