Through design I was the lead contact with the architect, performed the structural analysis, and was the lead detailer. The building is steel framed, with braced frames in two parts of the building and CMU shear walls in the remainder of the structure.- Maintenance facility for a branch of the armed services. I worked closely with the principal to design and detail a renovation to the existing steel framed and CMU shear wall building. The existing roof structure was removed to allow for the introduction of new columns to support a new higher roof.-Evaluation of an existing hospital structure to determine the feasibility of a vertical addition over one of the wings. I also prepared a draft of the letter to the architect with the findings of the study.-A large eldercare facility which is undergoing a series of additions and renovations. I have been involved in design and C.A. for several phases incorporating a large variety of structural systems.- Lead contact and primary reviewer of RFI's and shop drawings for a high school and elementary school. Was the contact point for corporate sponsor/professor/structural lab manager and co-authored the report. Worked with Prof Kenneth Hover (ACI Vice President) to investigate the effects of adding fly ash to a concrete block mix design.

Worked at the Milford, CT business unit as a co-op in two terms: August 2007 to December 2007 and May 2008 to July 2008.Assisted the Project Superintendant with daily field observations and coordination. Received, processed, and tracked subcontractor paperwork obligations. Ran safety orientation for new subcontractors. Maintained the drawings and sketch log- updated both as necessary.
