Worked on the Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle (ESDV) open-source projects. Within this domain I have managed the Eclipse Freyja project, an application built in Rust which synchronizes digital twin data to the cloud. This application is highly adaptable and supports interfaces with various other in-vehicle and cloud technologies, including completely custom components provided by users. I also contributed to design and features of other ESDV projects such as Ibeji, Chariott, Agemo, and ESDV Blueprints.

Developer on the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform (MCVP) in Azure Internet of Things (IoT). Key contributions include:Simulation:- Adopted ownership of the MCVP simulation product, which allows users to simulate their devices at large scale (on the order of 1,000,000 devices)- Developed various tools to improve the usability of the simulation product, including a command-line tool, a web UI, and a more user-friendly API interface- Significantly improved simulation scale. Though the scale testing I identified various improvements enabling a 10x or more performance improvement. In addition, I identified performance bottlenecks for the core services.In-Vehicle:- Contributed to the in-vehicle product by developing device code in collaboration with VWCustomer Relations:- Owner of technical communications with our biggest customer (VW), including managing customer requests and providing technical advice on how to integrate the MCVP product. This included a few trips to Munich to assist in technical workshops.- Took responsibility for delivering the April GA release of the simulation and in-vehicle products, which included tracking release requirements and addressing breaking changes.

Developer on the Azure Monitor team to develop the Azure Notification Service (AzNS), which processes and sends the notifications that users receive from Azure Monitor. Key contributions included the design and development of the "AzNS Listener" and "Group Resolver" microservices. The Listener is responsible for receiving user replies to SMS messages and acting accordingly. The Group Resolver is responsible for retrieving and managing user-defined notification groups with a distributed cache for increased performance. In addition, I set up automated test runs for all AzNS services, detecting and resolving a handful of critical bugs in the process.

Intern on the Messaging and Ticketing System (MATS) team. My primary focus was to implement a redesigned object model for the data that is stored by the service that would alleviate common errors made by users, as well as difficulties that they experienced with certain use cases.

Intern on the Express Deployment team. My projects included investigation into a "Chaos Monkey" that would allow the team to inject faults into Express for testing purposes, as well as prototyping a more generic deployment process that would allow users to deploy files other than the standard deployment package.

Internship with the Fatigue Technology Management and Information Systems (MIS) department. Work involved computer programming using primarily ASP with VBScript and C#.NET. Additionally, minor work in SQL, C++, JavaScript, and Excel Macros (VBA) was required. Projects were primarily in response to requests by other employees for various software changes and updates. These included redesign of multiple websites and Epicor interfaces, as well as altering SQL database storage and retrieval of information. I also helped with a major domain migration and OS upgrade for the entire company.
