Drawing on previous experience, I liaise with clients to determine current needs, identify areas in need of improvement, and recommend solutions to mitigate challenges. I inspect operations to safeguard procedural efficiency. I have successfully discouraged the introduction of nonnative wildlife plants by showcasing negative impact on the environment and the local community, and also conducted appropriate tests to determine the root cause of arboriculture problems and explain results to clients, often leading to tree removal and avoidance of property damage.

In this position, I moved patients to and from treatment locations, relocated critical equipment to appropriate sites, distributed necessary medical supplies, and trained new staff. I also established positive interdepartmental relations by supporting nurses, when needed, by relaying patient information to floor or department staff, allowing nurses to serve patients more efficiently. I also assisted medical staff by communicating necessary patient information and developed a reputation among peers and hospital leadership for excellent patient care.

This position required the control of annual budgets for the operations of multiple agencies, federal, and statewide programs. An essential component of this role was spearheading efforts to conserve natural resources, including preplanning, land management, and silvicultural practices, as well as optimizing program delivery to improve services and strengthen conservation, recreation, and sustainability. Served as an Incident Commander to maximize humanitarian efficiency and ensure public safety throughout forest fires, natural disasters, and man-made disaster situations. Additionally, I worked to minimize urban encroachment and loss of habitats, especially for endangered species, by mandating sustainability strategies.My key accomplishments within this position include: > Boosting contractor’s venue by 50-70% through innovative land management strategies, such as new types of site preparation and combinations, and committed to contractors a season in advance, with guaranteed start date and acres of land, allowing them to preplan for the season to meet demands and allocate expenses. > Introducing monthly consumer protection program on Farm & Ranch television program to inform landowners of best practices for selling timber to protect investments and increase income. Developing presentations to highlight timber sales strategies, sharing fair market value, and eventually reducing the cost of reforestation. > Partnering with Texas Department of Public Safety and State of Texas Department of Emergency Management to oversee North East Texas ice storm ensuring roadway safety, medical response and propane for delivery to homes without heat. > Directing 21-person team and 10 organizations, including Red Cross, to aid 6,000 patients and 8,000 employees at 19 hospitals/medical center without utilities or water, as well as two of three inoperable trauma centers throughout Houston Flood. Restoring utilities within 12 hours and operations within 2.5 days.

This promotion consisted of oversight of the operating budget and supervision of 137 full-time employees across 23 offices. I managed statewide agency programs, including regional tailored management, specifically hiring high-potential staff, training, equipping, and delegating to deliver programs. Empowering staff to deliver programs spanning across 250,000 square miles resulted in high quality presentations and improved staff motivation. I was often appointed Incident Commander during state emergencies and disasters.My contributions as Chief Regional Forester include: Improving productivity and efficiency by 50% with proper training, determined expectations, and task delegation, to promote seamless program delivery.  Reducing staff turnover by 90% by cultivating a positive and supportive workplace culture with a focus on individual achievement, ensuring resources for success, and accountability.

Collaborations with local, county, state, and federal agencies were necessary to improve delivery of Emergency Response services by pairing staff members with their agency counterparts for training focused on policy, documentation, and strategies for specific disasters. I was also instrumental in amplifying relevancy of services and programs by 80% by selecting appropriate individuals to deliver specific programs.

Supervised and delivered management and emergency response programs in seven counties (3,500,000 acres) of East Texas. ●Trained and empowered a team of 31 personnel to deliver all agency programs in a district that consistently planted the most surviving acres of pine seedlings and had the most and largest wildfires. ● Established and grew the largest Forest Landowner's Association.
