CurrentBill has an active civil litigation practice and has represented clients in all of the Delaware state and federal courts, including the Delaware Court of Chancery, Superior Court and Supreme Court and before state agencies including the Industrial Accident Board and Environmental Appeals Board. His practice focuses in two principal areas -- defense of complex mass tort personal injury litigation involving claims of birth defects, respiratory injury, heavy metals poisoning and other personal injuries, in which he has represented companies in the energy, industrial manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries; and, in real estate litigation involving commercial lending, workouts, construction disputes, land use appeals, condemnation, foreclosures, leases and purported fair housing act violations.Bill has also litigated a wide variety of other types of civil matters, including defense of asbestos exposure claims, insurance coverage disputes, commercial contract disputes and employee misconduct claims.Bill is licensed to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He graduated with an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Delaware where he graduated with first in his class honors for his major, before attending the University of Maryland School of Law where he graduated with honors, was an associate editor of the Maryland Law Review and founded the school’s Student Real Estate Association. Bill currently sits on the Alumni Board of the Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware and is a barrister in the Rodney Inn of Court.
