Gary McBride is a veteran of the advertising and television industry in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.After graduating from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Gary began his career in Venezuela with Siboney Advertising. He subsequently launched additional Siboney operations in Ecuador and the U.S. Hispanic market. In 1987 Gary joined the management team assigned with the responsibility of launching the Telemundo Network and subsequently became its President in 1990. After Telemundo, Gary founded Gems Television, one of the first cable networks launched in Latin America. After the sale of this business to Liberty Media and Telemundo, Gary launched LAMAC (Latin American Multichannel Advertising Council). LAMAC has spearheaded business development efforts to grow Pay TV Advertising throughout the region.As of April 2017, McBride left LAMAC to open McBride Media Consulting. MMC will dedicate itself to providing media services that will assist advertisers in developing and evaluating media plans in a highly evolved and segmented market. MMC will also make investments in new companies that will make investments to develop additional media research services.
