At MicroAire Surgical Instruments, I was tasked with the ideation, design, programming, and construction of an automated test frame that would be used to perform verification testing and benchmark testing on medical devices. During the internship, I generated a modular design in SOLIDWORKS that included a complete assembly of the entire test frame. Following conceptualization and design, I completed a program in Python capable of managing a GUI along with data tracking and the generation of an output file. When the software was complete, I began writing a work instruction to demonstrate the proper use of the test frame. I also completed technical drawings to be released with the work instruction under a DCO. In the last stages of the internship, I have been working to complete the software and test method validations.
