Fuels Service Center Controller
CurrentAccomplished Fuels Service Center Controller serving as the focal point for all Active Duty military fuels related operations and tasks for Scott AFB. Maintain account for $2.5 million+ of on-hand fuel inventory on daily basis. Ensure security of $10.3 million in USAF fuels assets. Account and report for approx. $23 million in war reserve assets directly to Joint Chiefs of Staff. Assisted in implementation in first ever Hot Pit refueling capability(refueling planes with engines on)at Scott AFB in its 100 year history. Investigate gains and losses, ensure correct billing, work directly with Defense Logistics Agency Energy (DLA-E) to reconcile accounts, monthly reports, and end of fiscal year accounting. For example, aided in fiscal year 17 account reconciliation of 9,700 billing documents and 1,500,000 gallons of fuel with 100% accuracy, recouped $3,500,000 of AF assets and funds. Supervisory role as FSC focal point for day to day operations. Order, document, & receive bulk shipments. Lab analysis for fuel QA. Played vital role in supporting C17 Aircraft hurricane evacuation from S. Carolina and Florida during Hurricanes Irma, Harvey, Michael, Jose, by contributing to creation of alternate flight line parking diagram, overseeing and accounting for the issue of 86,000 gallons enabling the evacuation of personnel, civilians, and assets in storm path, enabling quick return to the flying of disaster relief missions. Devised new system for audit of military vehicle account by modifying from yearly to quarterly, placing specific accounts into separate quarters resulting in countless man hours saved and 100% accuracy for all vehicles and billing accounts being current in return saving money for AF by have accurate transactions with few discrepancies. Use of radios and 10 codes to safely track and direct operators on the flight line. Delegate emergency protocols. Appointed as Records Management Custodian ensuring compliance with DLA policies for data retention.
