Previously the operator would enter the measurements manually on the PLC Control Panel. I wrote a background application using C#/.NET which allowed the operator to select the file on the panel to automatically parse and send the Excel file data. This process was far more accurate, faster and efficient.Client had a system which gathered metrics (such as thickness) on material as it passed through the manufacturing process. This information needed to be available to the front office so that reports could be provided to their customers. I wrote a C#/.NET service that captured the data in real-time from the PLC Control Panel and stored the information in a database. I then created a front end user interface using Sql Server Reporting Services to allow users to create reports.A large corporate client wanted flexibility for their internal developers to create applications to send inventory specifications to the PLC Control Panel using various programming languages and OS environments (Linux, Python, etc...). I created a REST API service which forwarded the details to the PLC Control Panel.I have completed multiple projects where is is necessary to generate a Bar Code Label during the manufacturing process. This is generally done by either using the Bar Tender software or using Zebra Printer software.
