I am a bankruptcy lawyer and small business advisor who believes in building long-term relationships with clients. I focus my practice on issues related to bankruptcy, business law, and transactional law, from business formation to helping clients navigate business financial and management matters. I am a Board-Certified Specialist in Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy Law. I'm honored to have been included in Super Lawyers® for 2014-22, and I am also BV® Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.® I'm an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Wake County Bar Association, and I'm admitted to practice in both the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina. Prior to attending law school, I worked in various positions in higher education administration at Binghamton University for 12 years. An avid runner, I've completed 10 marathons, including three Boston Marathons. I've also served on several boards, including chairing the board of the Endeavor Charter School and secretary for the Enclave at Barton’s Creek Home Owner’s Association. I also volunteer with A.E. Finley YMCA and I-9 Sports, where I coach several youth leagues including soccer, basketball, and flag football. I live and work in Raleigh, NC, where I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children.
