Working on the Business Systems team I helped architect and move the Tableau Identity platform to a new SAML implementation and managed the transition.Worked on many different internal tools.Helped kickstart the service that would help Tableau Server become Tableau Online!

Developing using Perl, the Catalyst Web Framework, DBIx and Moose with an Oracle backend. Saw several projects from planning to completion and collaborated with teammates and customers to fulfill requirements. Developed a custom testing framework for use with Oracle and Catalyst.On several occasions served as acting team lead and had to make critical decisions that were service impacting.Performed remote maintenance on company client servers and debugged issues with our software.While at Pythian, the R&D dept made a switch from SVN to Git and was responsible for teaching fellow coworkers the basics of Git.

Worked in a team of six individuals, primary responsibilities included fixing bugs and creating simulation software to test the application. I did so using C#, WCF (Windows services) and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)

A four month contract that involved converting the existing School of Computer Science website into Drupal. The website was using a flat file system for storing data. This was done by creating several migration scripts to take the flat file data and populate a Drupal schema.

Worked with Ruby on Rails and MySQL. Primary responsibilities included reworking their product search engine using Solr, developing small features and bug fixes and contributed to the open source Ruby gem ActiveShipping where I added Canada Post shipping rates.

Developed back end functionality website using PHP and an existing database. Met weekly deadlines in various stages in development and collaborated with a project leader to ensure client requirements were met.

Created a fitness Content Management System (using PHP and Microsoft SQL Server) that synced with their desktop application. The system would allow trainers to schedule workouts, diet plans, training plans and cardio for their clients. All users of Crosstrainer could also share workouts, diet and training plans and recipes within the system. Developed a mobile version of the site with fewer features. Created internal tools to track sales and purchase trends of customers.
