Network Information and Central Office Support (2002-2008) Managed eight teams comprised of 92 engineers, associates and contractors in three functionally diverse areas. Designed, developed, deployed and implemented computer based applications to reduce costs and/or increase revenue for Network, Finance, and Marketing groups. Provided technical and process support for Engineering. Initiated the provisioning and monitored the capacity of the switched network.Created and managed internal entrepreneurial group which gathered, stored, analyzed and reported extensive billing system and network system data. Clients provided 40% of group funding. Unique information provided to Operations enabled facility recovery project which saved $15M-18M per year.Planned, developed, implemented and operated the Traffic Track system and applications. Applications involved analysis of SS7 call data which produced information that directly resulted in $350M+ cost reduction. Verizon holds & has defended seven patents on this system.Expanded the Traffic Track national collection platform annually to attain coverage of 92%+ of the traffic carried by the PSTN. The expansion was executed by seeking low cost, third-party sources of equipment/installation and by reducing administrative and maintenance costs by 80% through use of third party and in-house groups. Enhanced and expanded the Customer Counting & Tracking System (CCTS) and created a team to develop and implement customer specific applications. CCTS used primarily billing system data to support Marketing applications which directly resulted in additional revenue of $20M per year.Successfully adapted to a cumulative staff reduction of greater than forty (40) percent in the Traffic Capacity Management teams by combining groups, changing processes and adjusting objectives and deliverables to align with the reduced customer base in the Public Switched Network (PSTN).
