Scarborough

Since founding the business in 2003 aged 18, James has developed his business idea into a limited company. WJP Software Limited is a small software development / IT consultancy business specialising in working with the pharmaceutical sector which in the NHS. The company has a number of key products, our Emergency Box Management System, Environmental Water Testing System and Microbiological Reporting System which run in over 50% of NHS Trusts. WJP Software has branched out into providing web-based systems to local government organisations and IT consultancy in these areas as well to help improve efficiencies within the NHS. Other projects include bespoke software and web systems development and web hosting. Along with using his development skills, James also has a solid understanding of managing a limited company including Financial Planning, HR and Marketing.

Scarborough Campus

In this role James is responsible for technical innovation on the Scarborough Campus. The remit of this position is wide reaching and encompasses, project management, software development, enterprise systems management (VLE, CMS), video production skills and marketing. These skills complement each other, and allow James to work on projects from the initial ideas through to completion. James also works on a regular basis with a wide variety of teams and individuals to help complete projects. While James has been working in this role he has been dynamic and developed it to fit the requirements of the university.

Scarborough Campus

In this role James is responsible for the daily management of the Student Employability Agency (SEA). SEA provides students with an opportunity to gain paid work experience while studying for their degree. James manages multiple technical projects simultaneously, while also provide technical advice and support to students and staff working on SEA projects. In this role James also has line management responsibilities for a small team.
