I am currently a fourth year Accounting major at RIT's Saunders College of Business. I am actively seeking an Accounting internship for the spring of 2020. Accounting has always been of interest to me because of the commitment, dedication and details that are involved in handling your own, others', or companies' financials. I have also had the privilege of being around the accounting world for my whole life, as my father is a CPA. He has taught me a lot about accounting and how to be successful in the field. With his expertise and my knowledge attained at RIT, I know I can impact an accounting firm in a positive manner. Also, being a four year member and current team captain of the RIT Men's Basketball team has taught me so much about commitment, working with other towards a common goal, and the responsibility that comes with being part of a group. I have to show up to every meeting, practice, game or workout giving my absolute best effort because my teammates are relying on me. This is the same type of dedication, commitment, and responsibility I'd bring to the work place each and every day. Another one of my strengths is my attention to detail. In my experience working as a landscaper and designer at Murray Bros. Nurseries in Buffalo, this attention to detail has been brought to light. I must carry out each customer's design perfectly according to their original estimate. Consistency from the estimate to the actual work carried out is owed to each and every customer. I like to see every project through and make sure that everything is detail-oriented. Being detail-oriented helps bring consistency and order to the work place, two attributes that are key to success. I strive to be the best version of myself I can be and incorporate that into all areas of my life, especially in the work field. I would immediately bring a fresh perspective, willingness to work hard, and energy to an internship opportunity.
