• As a result of my time in Brazil, I am a fluent Portuguese speaker and along with my French/Brazilian wife who is from Rio, I am heavily involved with the UK/Brazilian culture.• Based on my considerable business experience and culture knowledge of the UK and Brazil, I have recently given talks at the London Chamber of Commerce, Nottingham Trent University and UKTI events on “Business Culture in Brazil” and “Business Opportunities in Brazil”.• I have developed and delivered a set of modular workshops called “Success in Brazil” at the beginning of 2012 for the Oil & Gas sector in Aberdeen.

I have been providing coaching, mentoring and delivering workshops for over a hundred different businesses at the Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship over the past four years. This has involved a wide range of sectors, including artists, website developers, software writers, event organisers and training products and services.

I started the corporate clothing business in the garage and grew it to £700,000 turnover, selling to blue chip companies like the Royal Mail and Murco Petroleum before exitting by selling to a Birmingham clothing group.

My responsibilities involved managing their Brazilian factory in Cotia,about 40kms outside Sao Paulo. This factory produced transfers and glaze stains for the Brazilian ceramic industry. I was responsible for the re-organisation of the whole company, which included staff training, product development, factory improvements and growing the business.
