Member of Technology Services team which provides all levels of software and hardware support to faculty and staff desktops, printers, and other instructional/business technology. Primarily assisting with requests for assistance from userbase, as well as managing classroom and event space audio visual (AV) systems, utilizing configuration management and other administration systems to inventory equipment, install operating systems and updates required to keep systems performing well and protected against security vulnerabilities. Participation in the planning, implementation, and support for new technology in academic classrooms, meeting spaces, and offices around campus.

A Student Service Desk Technician is primarily responsible for assisting on staff Technicians and handling incoming traffic of questions and issues. Customer service oriented with responsivities in the listed fields:Troubleshoot, diagnosis and resolve or assign software, hardware, and network requests received via walk in, phone, or e-mail.Assist with network registration and troubleshooting; both wireless and wired network connections.Remove various types of malware from personal computers of students, faculty and staff.Troubleshoot R-MC login issues.Provide support via a variety of methods including walk-in, telephone and email.Assist Tech Services staff with filing, copying, and managing Service Desk ticket related documentation.Update Helpdesk documentation on intranet.Assist Tech Services staff with inventory control, including unpacking shipments.Assist Tech Services staff with imaging machines and preparing for auction.Assist Tech Services staff by updating software on classroom computers.
