I have been involved with scoping surveys for sub-consultants to assess construction phasing impacts for engineering projectsAs the lead pedestrian modelling consultant in the Transport Planning team, I was responsible for developing, analysing and auditing models for many stations in the UK as well as the Fifth Precinct Stadium design for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. I have had responsibility for model building, testing, and reporting design options for both permanent scheme design and during construction tests. This also included undertaking analysis for feasibility studies, design option reviews, and design appraisal. This also included solving capacity challenges to assess the adequacy of the infrastructure proposals for future demands.I was also involved in consulting and liaising with the client, stakeholders and sub-contractors on various projects. As part of the Station Travel Plan project for Abellio ScotRail, I was involved in carrying out site and public engagement surveys, as well as holding stakeholder meetings for individuals and organisations to actively engage with the project. Crossrail WestI was responsible for developing static and Legion models for the new Crossrail stations to the West of Paddington. I was responsible for model building, testing, and reporting various options for both permanent scheme design and during construction tests to the design team and the client. I was also involved in presenting the results to the Client and key stakeholders, explaining the results and the impact that design decisions had on passenger movements.Al Thumama Stadium (2022 World Cup, Qatar)I was responsible for data interpretation and analysis for static calculations, and testing and auditing Legion models for the Fifth Precinct Stadium design for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This included working iteratively with the project architect to assess and develop design options as well as advising on the impact of pedestrian movements from origin to destination, auditing route choices, and presenting results.Abellio ScotRail Station Travel PlansI was part of the local project team which delivered 10 Station Travel Plans for Abellio Scotrail in 2017 and is currently in the process of developing another 10 STPs. I had a wide range of responsibilities throughout the project, including: station audits, creating public surveys, collating and analysing data, stakeholder engagement, presenting results, reporting trends and outcomes, SWOT analysis, and client liaison. This led to the successful award of a further 10 Scottish stations for the same client. Stornoway Ferry Infrastructure Apr 2014 – Apr 2014 This project involves extending and strengthening the existing pier for the M.V Loch Seaforth. This includes a 30 metre deck extension using temporary steel grillage, new fender piles and panels, installing rock anchors into the existing raking piles and constructing a new lift building. I am also involved in mentoring a summer student, quality control, environmental assessments, safety tours, monitoring and co-ordinating sub-contractors as well as contributing towards the programme. Another role I have is the Community Liaison Officer which involves weekly meetings with stakeholders and community groups to highlight interfaces on site as well as delivering presentations to schools. Maldie hydro scheme Sep 2012 – Sep 2012 Duties included: The execution of accurate setting out and recording of civil engineering works – namely the 23m dam and 26m Access Bridge for this project; maintaining high personal safety and environmental standards on site supported by the company’s Beyond Zero initiative; communicating this information with sub-contractors on a daily basis; monitoring the quality control of concrete; carrying out take-offs for required materials.
