I believe I have an unparalleled combination of experience and expertise in Quality research, education, and training plus decades of academic-and-other teaching and presentation experience. I feel my sports history also helps me communicate with participants in the learning process. I possess 35 years' involvement in industry, working from hourly worker through positions of Quality practitioner/trainer/facilitator, then formal education and training of thousands of automobile employees and others, to Senior Data Analyst and Associate Dean of the Quality College at a major automotive corporation. My four certifications (three now retired) from the American Society for Quality -- as well as my research reports -- also enhanced my reputation. As a researcher I have a passion for accuracy and can work individually, but appreciate the tremendous power of teams as well. Outside the business world, for 17 years I taught college history and cultural courses. Since then I've presented on subjects ranging from Quality (including statistics and continuous improvement strategies) to Greek and Roman mythology, Ancient Egypt, Oriental Rugs, World Butterflies and Moths, and Unidentified Flying Objects. My co-learners/friends have included folks from preschool to End of Life. What began as a mere interest developed into a hobby and then a perceived mission to present rational, intelligent information to the public and others on low-signal-to-noise topics in current archaeology and ufology. Since 2017 and public governmental initiatives the need for solid information -- in particularly the many-faceted but almost uproariously amateurish and muddled field of UFO studies -- requires sensible discussion, grounded in scientific, technical, and rigorous thinking. As a Board Member of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies, I attempt to further Dr. Hynek's goals as just mentioned. Additionally, for the Center and as an Assistant News Editor covering (as "WM") UFO and archaeologically-related subjects for Anomalist.com, I strive to educate the public through weekday reviews of online articles, podcasts, book reviews, etc., "sorting the wheat from the chaff," as it were. I also participate in podcasts, academic presentations from high school through university, and write for and present at interested gatherings for a wide variety of audiences.
