Profile bio

About William Robertson

My success as a Product Manager is best captured by the facts that I have global experience and demonstrated success in developing new products (especially using new technologies), enriching existing products, and retiring those products that have lost their relevance. All are critical for a healthy bottom line. Having augmented my Bachelor in Business Administration with a Masters in Computer Science, I excel in the enterprise software environment, leading teams to launch products that drive significant revenues. Our products reliably meet customers’ needs, and that is the key to realizing return on investment in this field. How do I reliably realize success? I lead with professionalism, enthusiasm, clear expectations, and by example. Focused and disciplined, I contribute my expertise in large-scale projects and work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams. My methodology is detailed. Admittedly intensely curious, I make sure that I gather the information needed to understand customers’ business problems, and determined to create profit, I then translate these into technology-driven solutions. I gain a great deal of satisfaction in seeing meaningful solutions deployed and adopted. In addition, I manage with efficiency, sourcing savings in time with systematic processes. One of my colleagues called me a “Rock Solid Product Manager,” and I do accept this title. From market assessment and research, product launch, marketing, pricing strategies, strategic planning, and competitive analysis – I have developed a notable level of expertise. Although I began my career in sales (and have a few sales awards to my credit), I fully enjoy the complexity of the role of Product Manager. (I have also worked in Development, Support, Marketing and Administration.) My analyses are thorough, I ask the right questions, install best practices, and am proud to have earned a reputation for setting the bar higher.

Listed skills include Product Management, Strategic Planning, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy, and 33 others.

Retired from work, but not from life.I have retired after 40 years in the technology industry. Working alongside such talented individuals has been a privilege, and I am proud of the contributions we have made together to advance technology and innovation. As I embark on this new chapter in my life, I look forward to spending more time with my loved ones, pursuing personal interests, and embracing new adventures.
