William designs solutions around increasing employee productivity, cutting waste, and supplying executives with data to make informed business decisions. He applies lean startup principles and entrepreneur practices in his work with each department of the company. William directs the design vision to disrupt outdated department workflows and create a logical and uniform experience throughout the business. He is responsible for moving departments from paper and spreadsheets to cloud-based solutions with desktop, web, and mobile interfaces. In addition, he leads IT training and speaks on design, business, lean, and agile topics to engineers, project managers, and executives. His measurable impact within the company resulted in William receiving the 2015 Chairman’s Award for Employee of the Year.• Merged 17 legacy applications into a single application now used by every department. The consolidation reduced search and navigation time by 68% while opening up communication and data visibility between departments.• Created automated work lists which increased employee productivity by 30% in client services departments.• Migrated invoice fulfillment workflow from paper to mobile app which decreased fulfillment time by 38%.• Designed a new consignment and cataloging process which increased productivity by 26% in Beverly Hills office.• Introduced a new client payment workflow which cut payment processing time by 56%.• Created a new financing workflow that reduced client credit decisions from 45 minutes to under a minute.

William applied enterprise design, user-centered principles, and lean startup practices to understand resident needs. In his first term, he wrote and executed a dozen proposals to add amenities to the property. He also created a communications plan to more effectively communicate with residents through various mediums, as well as a marketing plan to attract new owners and raise property values for the entire community. William's insights and endeavors succeeded in making this 45 year-old property competitive with 9 new neighboring complexes.• Raised board approval rating among residents from 30% to 92%.• Helped reduce late dues from $19,000 to $0.• Remodeled an old laundry room into a new fitness center for $1,300, a project originally budgeted for $12,000.

Responsible for all software design in the A/V division which developed software used at thousands of conferences each year. Software designed included conference management, file management, wayfinding, informational kiosks, social media displays, digital signage, digital posters, and non-linear presentation applications. Managed the social media projects and worked with hundreds of clients to tailor the software to their branding. Regular clients included Microsoft, McDonald’s, AARP, and AT&T.• Designed series of products for displaying social media walls at conferences.• Renovated the legacy file management system and unified product branding.• Created many PixelSense touch screen kiosk applications.

William founded Next Gen as an organization to connect young adults and college students with volunteer opportunities in the community. He managed a team of 8 volunteer organizers to coordinate with food banks and thrift shops, as well as arrange tutoring opportunities. William created a marketing plan with a 90's grunge rock theme to engage with volunteers through a website, social media outlets, text, and flyers.• Inspired 18 to 30 year-olds to work without compensation which grew the organization from 5 to 140 members in under 2 years.

Designed and developed the SAP Solution Browser, a section of the SAP corporate website that helps users find the best SAP solutions to meet their business needs. The site and data run in German, English, Chinese, and Korean. It consistently has over 10,000 unique monthly visitors.

Designed and implemented all UX development on an 18 month project. Constantly met with clients to present and discuss visual design with wireframes, storyboards, and mockups. Designed usability testing with a focus on human factors design. Helped set up SCRUM development and MVVM design patterns.• Migrated legacy accounting software from Windows Forms to WPF.• Designed a time tracking add-on for construction companies.• Developed an add-on for moving insurance companies.

Reported directly to the Senior Vice President, was responsible for all software development. Managed all stages of the development life-cycle. Managed a team of developers and designers working on web application projects. Regular clients included SAP (America, Germany, Japan), DuPont, Siemens, Verizon Wireless.• Created a skinnable Silverlight player used in many high traffic webcast sites.• Built a product browser web application viewable in 4 languages.• Developed a warehouse inventory program with barcode scanning.

Designed and developed a 6 month ASP web application project used to track training resources. Written in VBScript and included extensive use of JavaScript and AJAX. Stored procedures were used to create advanced search algorithms for machine learning and a recommendation system.

Designed and developed web applications for local small businesses. Solutions built included event scheduling, client registration, and student attendance tracking. Attendance tracking web application was used to manage a school of 20,000 students.

Created and directed Computer Kids program to teach computer skills to children age 8-12.

Responsible for rewiring and repairing network cabling in seven schools during construction. Configured and deployed hundreds of new computers throughout the school district.
