About William L.

I am a leader, a thinker, a teacher and a scholar who possesses a wide-ranging skill set: from strategic planning and visioning, to change management and budgeting. I am also a talented, polished public speaker who has given invited lectures all over the world. My new Wondrium.com series "How the Medici Shaped the Renaissance" has been a tremendous success. And my earlier series, an Audible.com exclusive, "Rise and Fall of the Borgias", and "The Great Courses'" series, titled "Books that Matter Niccolo Machiavelli's 'The Prince'", showcases many of my skills. I am presently the Primary Investigator for a $336,000 NSF Grant, which was awarded to fund research into "The Parker Academy" in New Richmond, OH; I am always looking for interesting new projects and collaborations. At the moment, I'm highly interested in expanding my voice-work portfolio.

Author And Narrator: "Rise And Fall Of The Borgias"

The United States

I was fortunate to be contracted by Audble, Inc. to write and to narrate an Audible Exclusive book titled "The Rise and Fall of the Borgias", an investigation of one of the Renaissance's most notorious families. Christina H., an Audible, Inc. Editor wrote that, "“Facts we all know about the Borgias: They had power. They had Popes. Everything in the Showtime series couldn’t be true. Professor Landon probes why this particular family acquired a reputation for incest, poison and assassination. Did Rodrigo Borgia (aka Pope Alexander VI) hold orgies in the Vatican, or was be a better-than-average Renaissance pontiff? Was Lucrezia, his daughter – yes, you read that right – a murderous temptress, or merely a woman whose value was to ally her family to other powerful clans through marriage? One overarching question run through the lectures like silk through brocade: what made the Borgias infamous?”
