About William Lax
I provide psychotherapy and consultation services to couples who wish to resolve conflicts and improve their relationships. These can include addressing difficult interactional patterns, breaches of trust/infidelity, and communication problems, as well as issues regarding depression, anxiety, anger, fear, grief/loss, stress, and other complex issues. For the past five years I have been studying and participating in training in Emotion Focused Therapy (training with Leslie Greenberg)and more recently in Emotionally Focused Therapy (training with Sue Johnson and George Faller). I have been involved in Narrative Therapy for over 25 years, having had extensive training with Michael White in Australia and the US, as well as other training experiences with Tom Andersen, Gianfranco Cecchin, Lynn Hoffman, Harold Goolishian, Laura Perls, and Jeffrey Zimmerman.I am a licensed psychologist in Vermont and New Hampshire, Board Certified in Couple and Family Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), and have a Certificate in Primary Care and Behavioral Health from University of Massachusetts Medical School (2012).
