Deputy Director
CurrentAs the Deputy Director of Navy Programs, I am responsible to the director for program management and oversight of both prime and subcontract efforts. I manage personnel performing internationally on all contracts across our Navy portfolio. I ensure the effective utilization of contract funds to support the dept. in its entirety; while managing 5 physical offices within the directorate across the US. A significant part of my current responsibility requires collaboration with executive management, HR, accounting, and BD leaders. I have successfully developed relationships & partnerships with leaders across many industries in this role. As a Corporate Engineer, I manage engineering acquisition efforts and represent the Navy’s SATCOM interest in the joint arena. I analyze and develop user requirements, and develop CONOPS, CONEMPS, and system architectures. I am responsible for developing and reviewing system requirement specifications and design concepts. My development tasking includes HSI design, environmental qualification testing, and system performance objective verification. My current engineering tasking requires that I interface with third-party vendors as my client's systems engineering representative. I advocate on behalf of the client to ensure that the vendor and client interpretation of requirements are in alignment; ultimately resulting in the development of an end product that meets the warfighter's needs. I assume ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and the deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility. Cybersecurity, data security, and information security design are significant components of my tasking. I have successfully leveraged my experience with DoD IA and the RMF process to facilitate a smooth transition from system concept, development, and production to system implementation.
