Responsibilities-----------------------• Administration of several multi-terabyte Oracle 12c databases running on AIX 7.1 for Transurban’s core tolling application (GLIDe) which utilises Oracle WebLogic, CC&B, SOA, GoldenGate, and Active Data Guard• Perform BAU activities encompassing monitoring, user management, user requests, capacity planning, and backup and recovery• Provide expertise regarding database and SQL tuning• Troubleshoot database incidents and problem resolution• Database patching of production and non-production databases• Project DBA for various projects such as on-boarding of NSW assets to Transurban’s core tolling systemAchievements--------------------• Acting Database administration team leader overseeing Go-Live and Hypercare of the Transurban’s core tolling system• Performance tune overnight batch processes from 12 hours to 5 hours• Database upgrades from 10g to 11gR2 and from 11gR2 to 12c• Design and implement Oracle Database Vault realms and rules for PCI-DSS compliance• Design partitioning and database statistics gathering strategy and resource manager plans• Setup of Active Data Guard to facilitate RMAN backups and user reports and ad-hoc queries• Use of ITIL practices in the area of change management, incident management, and problem management• Documentation of database upgrades and patching
